1958 Pontiac Bonneville

Emerging during the era of the Space Race rivalry between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, the Bonneville boasted a wealth of rocket-inspired features. Pontiac went above and beyond by incorporating more chrome on this vehicle than many automakers did across their entire lineup. This car was meticulously crafted to commemorate both GM's 50th milestone and the retirement of the visionary designer Harley Earl from the company.

The impressive 1950s design featured a dual headlamp setup above the expansive, chrome-plated grille of the Bonneville, exuding a commanding presence. Complementing this, a sleek bumper with oval-shaped parking lights graced the lower portion. Onto the front fenders, rocket-inspired embellishments were placed, echoing Pontiac's theme evident in the car's profile from the sides. At the rear, the pair of circular red taillights continued the rocket-inspired motif seen throughout the coupe.

Pontiac adorned the interior of the Bonneville with a touch of luxury - silver sparkles intricately embedded in the floor carpets added a touch of sophistication. Beneath the distinguished exterior, this Pontiac houses a powerful V-8 engine pushing an impressive 255hp.

1956 Mercury Montclair

Charisma and performance unite to create This stunning 1956 Mercury Montclair, which features a 198HP V8 engine, automatic transmission, and a 2 door body.

During the mid-1950s, Ford made a strong push to establish Mercury as a distinct brand, a goal it achieved with the introduction of the 1955-56 Montclair. Positioned as the middle child in Ford's lineup, Mercury occupied the space between the more affordable Ford models and the upscale Lincolns targeted at wealthier consumers. Dubbed the Big M, this brand was tailored to offer a unique driving experience for the middle class. Mercury's designers worked diligently to create distinctive models, while the engineers focused on enhancing the driving dynamics of the brand-new chassis. Their efforts paid off, resulting in a successful differentiation for Mercury in the automotive market.

In 1956, Mercury pushed the boundaries even more, especially with the top-of-the-line Montclair models. The emphasis was on additional lavish details, seen prominently in the robust grille and the distinctive Z-shaped spear featuring a faux scoop running along the car's side. On two-tone variations, this spear served as a color divider. Moreover, the Montclairs boasted fully chromed rocker panels adorned with Mercury and "Big M" emblems, complemented by a sizable, jet-inspired hood ornament.

1965 Pontiac 2+2

Affectionately dubbed the "Nimble Brute," this stunning 1965 Pontiac 2+2 boasts a 376HP V8 engine and automatic transmission, all wrapped in the original "Iris Mist" paint color.

In the mid-1960s, the GTO was gaining immense popularity for its full-size car and high-power performance. Responding to the demand, Pontiac expanded its sports car line in 1964. When the 2+2 was introduced, it essentially became a trim option that added bucket seats, upscale side panels, and a console to the Catalina.

In 1965, Pontiac unveiled a striking and elegant body style, designing the 2+2 model based on the full-size Catalina and mid-sized GTO. Known as the GTO's "Big Brother", The Tri-Power variant of this model boasted a more powerful camshaft, a cooling fan clutch, and long-branch exhaust manifolds, exuding a sense of aggressiveness. As Pontiac transitioned its emphasis from full-size to mid-sized vehicles in 1967, the 1965 2+2 solidified its status as an iconic figure within the full-size GM domain.

1958 Edsel Ranger Coupe

The Edsel was named after Henry Fords son, Edsel Ford, and was produced for only 3 years (1958-1960) before the company seized production.

Named after Henry Ford's son, the Edsel was established as its own division within the Ford Motor Company. It is rumored that Ford dedicated 10 years and over $250 million to the design and production of the vehicle. Unfortunately, the distinctive horse-collar vertical grille and high price point during a recession had a detrimental effect on the sales of the Edsel, as customers perceived it as unappealing and overpriced. As a result, it is widely regarded as one of the biggest failures in automotive history.

Decades following its infamous flop, Edsels have gained significant traction as sought-after collectibles within the vintage car enthusiast community. With less than 10,000 Edsels still in existence, these vehicles are regarded as prized possessions for collectors. A mint-condition Edsel convertible from any of its three model years could fetch a price exceeding $100,000
